Judge Koch is currently in her 16th year as a general jurisdiction judge, having sat as a Juvenile, Family, Civil and Criminal court judge. She is currently the judge overseeing the 9th JDC’s specialty courts: Adult Drug Court and Behavioral Health Court.

Her service to judicial organizations includes her current position as Secretary on the Board for the Louisiana District Judges Association (LDJA); formerly served as President to the Louisiana Judicial College and the Louisiana Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges Association. Other previous appointments included Louisiana Children’s Cabinet; Courthouse Security committee for the Louisiana Supreme Court; in an advisory capacity to the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges diversity and curriculum committees.

She remains involved on the Louisiana Protective Order Task Force as well as the education committee for Domestic Violence; community liaison for the Louisiana Bar Foundation; Louisiana Behavioral Health Advisory Council, legislative committee for the Louisiana Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (LCJFCJ); member of the State and Alexandria Bar Associations; trains on mental health and domestic violence issues for the Alexandria Police Academy and with the Crisis Intervention Team; formerly served on the Access to Justice Committee for the Louisiana State Bar Association, and Past President of the Rapides Parish Area Youth Planning Board.

In her community, she is a board member of the Central Louisiana United Way Agency, member of the Horseshoe Drive United Methodist, a mother of three sons and engaged in their public education schools.
